Malem ULTIMATE Bedwetting Alarm with Sound and Vibration

Type
  • Compact and lightweight, measuring 2" square and weighing just 2 oz.
  • Easy-Clip sensor attaches directly to briefs
  • Choose from 1 tone, 8 random tones or 8 selectable/random tones

SOUND AND VIBRATION IN ONE ALARM! Everything you need, now in one compact alarm. The Malem ULTIMATE combines light, sound and vibration to help even the deepest sleeper wake. A selectable combination of sound and vibration suits the needs of the child. A selection switch can be easily set to sound only, sound and vibration or vibration only.

This bedwetting device is compact and lightweight (less than 2 oz. including two AAA batteries) with all the advanced features and advantages of the world famous Malem alarms. In addition to vibration, the different alarms provide: one tone (purple, blue, pink); 8 random tones (gold) to prevent "auditory accommodation"; or the new Selectable model (magenta, royal blue or camouflage) that provides a choice of any of 8 single sounds or random 8 sounds.

The bedwetting alarm is connected to a small clip-on sensor which detects moisture and anchors to the outside of any close fitting underwear for boys or girls. There's no sewing to hassle with or metal clips or snaps to come undone during the night. Sensor contacts are within the clip so skin contact or sweating will not trigger the alarm. The alarm sounds until the sensor is removed or the reset button is pressed, allowing you or your child sufficient time to effectively respond to the alarm.

Included with every alarm are: instructions for use, charts to track progress and batteries. The Malem ULTIMATE alarm uses inexpensive AAA batteries that last up to 10 times longer than standard "button" batteries found in nearly all other bedwetting alarms.

Comments

This is our best combination of sound/vibration in a bedwetting alarm. It differs from the regular Malem alarm in that it is slightly larger and the vibration is similar to a pager. This ULTIMATE alarm features BOTH sound and vibration. Remember, most children need help during the first few days/weeks to awaken when they wet the bed. An auditory alarm is necessary for you to help them.

Parents often ask about a single tone verse a multiple tone alarm. According to research, there is no support for the selection of one type of alarm over the other. This is a personal preference.

Pure behaviorists would recommend a single tone alarm. The different Malem alarm colors make different sounds. If you're working with more than one child at a time, select different colors so you will know who needs your help.

Some families have found that their child seems to tune out sounds quickly. For this situation, a random 8-tone alarm would be beneficial. The three selectable tone alarms offer you all the options - the ability to choose a single tone or rotate through 8 tones. The selectable alarm is available in a magenta, royal blue, or a camouflage color.

Works Wonders

Bought this for my 5yr old twins and it is working great. My daughter (who never had a dry night before) has used this for 3 weeks now and only had 3 nights in the beginning where she would barely wet and stop herself once the alarm went off. Now she either wakes up to go potty or she can actually hold it all night long. My son is next who is a very heavy sleeper but does not wet near as often as his sister. Excited to be done buying diapers at all. My 3yr old is ready to try it as well. One recommendation I have is to definitely sleep with your child in their bedroom the first couple nights, esp if they are heavy sleepers. They might need a little help understanding what is going on.
