The Rodger Wireless Bedwetting Alarm System is a complete, easy-to-use dry solution to your child’s bedwetting problem. Your child will find it easy to wear because the underwear fits just like normal underwear. But with a very special difference – the invisible threads sewn into the underpants connect to two snaps near the waistband. At bedtime, your child attaches a small transmitter to the snaps on the underpants. When your child wets a few drops, the Rodger alarm receiver sounds with one of 8 different tones, alerting you and your child that wetting has occurred.

Each Rodger Bedwetting Alarm system contains one brief, one transmitter, and one 8 tone variable volume alarm receiver. The small waterproof transmitter snaps to the waistband, and is powered by one A23 size battery. The alarm receiver plugs into a convenient wall outlet in your child's bedroom, or it can take two AA batteries.

Once the bed wetting alarm sounds, it will continue until you press a reset button on the front of the receiver. This helps ensure that your child actually gets up when the alarm sounds. The child can then go to the bathroom, and parents can check on their progress. After toileting, replace the underwear with a clean pair and reattach the transmitter.

Need a receiver for the parent too? Order a two receiver package that allows you to place one receiver in your child's bedroom and a second receiver in another bedroom. When your child wets, your receiver will sound too, alerting you so you can help your child. As children have less enuresis and need less parental assistance, the second receiver can be turned off.

Receivers work up to approximately 75 feet - depending on wall and floor construction and surrounding environment. We recommend testing your alarm prior to use, to make sure both units work within the layout of your home. Replacement transmitters can be purchased (call us for details). Many parents find that extra sensor briefs are useful and are available here. If your child is a heavy sleeper, an optional bedshaker is available.

Sizing Chart: We strongly recommend measuring your child's waist to accurately size him or her. Shrinkage will occur. Try the briefs on to make sure they fit. Used/washed briefs are not returnable. If you have any questions, call us at 1-800-214-9605.

This wireless bed wetting alarm is the first of its kind. The unique moisture-sensing briefs quickly detect wetness from any angle. Great for children who are reluctant to thread a sensor cord under their shirt, or for those who don't wear a pajama or t-shirt top. Underwear available in 2 unisex colors - lavender and blue. Because of where the sensor threads are placed, the lavender color is better for girls but the blue can be used for both sexes.

Because starch is used on the briefs during the manufacturing process, it is recommended that the briefs be laundered or soaked with water and detergent prior to the first use. This removes the starch from the cloth, increasing the rate of absorption, and ensures the alarm’s quick response.

A second receiver is especially important for larger homes or if your child sleeps on a different floor. You will be alerted simultaneously with your child, and can quickly provide the assistance they need.

FAQ and Troubleshooting Guide

Remove transmitter from briefs. Machine wash briefs in warm water. Do not use fabric softener. Tumble dry on low heat without antistatic/softener sheet. DO NOT WRING. DO NOT WASH TRANSMITTER. Wipe transmitter clean with damp cloth and air dry.

Because starch is used on the briefs during the manufacturing process, it is recommended that the briefs be laundered or soaked with water and detergent prior to the first use. This removes the starch from the cloth, increases the rate of absorption, and insures the alarm's quick response to moisture.

Disappointed

I am having a difficult time with the unit. The directions to set the unit up are a bit unclear. Despite pairing both of my receivers to the transmitter, only one transmitter sounded an alarm. The other transmitter went off every 5 minutes event thought I reset it after the first alarm sounded. There is likely some element of user error but I have not been able to use the system effectively yet. Also, I noted that one reviewer stated the kit came with 2 pairs of underwear. I only received one pair with my kit.

If you have two receivers, it is important that one receiver is turned off while the other receiver is being paired. Follow the pairing directions below to connect each receiver to the one transmitter:

1. Pair the transmitter and receiver by pressing the central LED button on the receiver, which will light up green.
2. Then press the – and + buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The central button will start blinking green and you have one minute to connect the two snaps of the transmitter with the metal strip on the front of the receiver.
3. They are paired when the LED lights up green and the receiver gives a short beep.

Also, the Rodger alarm includes: One transmitter, 1 brief, and your choice of one or two receivers. The Rodger alarm comes with only one brief.

I would review it if I had received it....

I ordered these products on August 23rd... I received the bedpads in quick order and they are okay.... I have yet to receive the bedwetting alarm and briefs... apparently Natl Incontinance was out of the red color, but didn't let me know that. When I called to find out where my order was, they told me they were out of the red but had the blue in stock… I was then asked if I wanted the blue instead because they could be sent out right away. I said yes of course, and apparently they were sent out. However I received no notification of them being sent, and as of today, which is September 17th, I have still not received them, nor have I gotten any emails updating me on my order status. I called National Incontinence yesterday, and was told that they are still in transit. I think that this is very bad customer service, and if I didn't need these items, I would cancel my order considering it was $200 plus… I will update my review when and if I ever get my order.

Fantastic System I highly recommend it!!

I bought this system and underwear for my son who is 8 and has been bedwetting for over 4 years. He has had a full medical work-up and has no medical reason for bedwetting. He is like most bedwetters a very deep sleeper and this Rodger Bedwetting Alarm and underwear really work! He only slept through the alarm the first night. It detects literally drops of urine. He immediately stops peeing and runs to the bathroom. We haven't had any sheets to change since the first night. We are into our 3rd week now. Towards the end of week 2 he had 2 nights where he was dry all night. Now three days into our 3rd week he has had the last 2 nights in a row dry!! He's so happy as am I! You need to have extra underwear as only 2 come with the kit otherwise you are washing every day and since you can't wash them and wring them out by hand you need to have at least a small load of laundry all the time. We have 4 pairs. The wireless system is fantasic. The monitor is a small round device as big as a silver dollar and about an half inch thick. It clips to the underwear that have a special sensor in the stitching and is secured with velcro. My son sleeps on his stomach and never once complained or even noticed it was there. It's small and smooth. We purchased 2 receivers, one for me and one for him. I've had him in a cot next to my bed so that I could quickly get him up when the alarm went off and not have to run half way across my house OR sleep in his room! They recommend you sleep in their room the first while so they get uused to going to their own bathroom but that didn't work in our situation. The alarm did scare him so we turned the volume down completely on his receiver so only the red light would flash when he started to pee. The other receiver is on my side of the bed with the alarm so we still hear it just fine. He gets up, hits the red button to turn off his receiver, I do the same and then head to the bathroom. We did have some behavioural issues for about a week and a half that started a few days after we started the alarm system. He was very upset that the alarm went off and that he was peeing. I gave him a LOT of encouragement in the middle of the night when he yelled and cried that it wasn't working instantly and also during the day. He often doesn't remeember getting up but regardless, the system works. Now in week three I don't get out of bed at all. We wake up, he goes to the bathroom by himself, changes his underwear and goes back to bed. My only regret is that I didn't find this system sooner. You won't regret buying this system. It is expensive but worth EVERY PENNY!
