These vinyl pillow covers are an inexpensive way to decrease allergens in pillows, while protecting from moisture. Since this protector is made of vinyl, it is not breathable, and may not be as comfortable to sleep on as a breathable polyurethane product, such as the Beautyrest Waterproof Mattress Pad. It does, however, have the advantage of simply wiping it clean without removing the protector from the pillow.
