This week, May 11-17, the American Health Care Association (AHCA) encourages you and your loved ones to live the “Aloha Spirit” in honor of National Nursing Home Week (NNHW).
The word, “Aloha”, means more than just a farewell; it’s an endearing term to “show others love and respect and joyfully share life in order to create a better world.”
Nursing home facilities from around the country will be planning Hawaiian themed activities and decorations for residents and staff, including luaus, hula dancers and colorful leis.
NNHW is also a time to give appreciation to those who are caring for your elderly loved ones. Nursing home staff employees are dedicated to keeping your loved ones safe from harm and injury and making sure they feel happy and at peace.
Stop by your loved one’s center during NNHW and join in on the fun!
